U12 Defender Development Sessions

Built specifically for developing defenders aged 9.5–12 years old, these high-intensity training sessions focus on the defensive details that separate average players from reliable leaders at the back.

Athletes will develop the tools, mindset, and confidence required to control games defensively while building physical presence and tactical awareness.

🔒 What Players Will Work On:

• Proper heading technique (defensive & attacking clearances)
• Marking principles (tight marking & zonal awareness)
• 1v1 defending in wide and central areas
• Controlled aggression & physical presence
• Game reading & anticipation
• Tackling timing and technique
• Understanding and executing the offside line
• Defensive communication & leadership
• Transition moments (winning the ball & playing forward)
• And more advanced defensive habits used at higher levels

Players receive real-time coaching and feedback to refine their positioning, decision-making, and defensive discipline. The goal is to build confident, composed defenders who can organize, compete, and lead from the back.
